I have to suspect it should be....

He has screwed up on all fronts....

blew a surplus

waged 2 wars

over spent the treasury

ignored warnings leading to massive losses

appointed cronies beyond the norm

ruined the system

etc etc

The man has BLOWN IT worse than HOOVER.....he is the MAD COVER GUY...Alfred Newman

1. Probably not
The depression that Andrew Jackson's policies helped start was blamed on Van Buren.
The depression that Calvin Coolidge's policies helped start was blamed on Hoover.

The cynic in me says this is why the Republicans put up such a weak team of nominees this time around-- it's almost like they wanted to lose, so they wouldn't get blamed for the financial mess that they started.

23. You're giving today's Republicans a lot of credit
I don't think they would give up power on purpose.

28. Maybe not, but it sure seemed like they were trying to lose
Half-senile septuagenarian presidential nominee with health problems and a running mate who was even less qualified than Dan Quayle

2. YESSS!!! Every time we discuss it, it should be linked to bush or
at least the Rethuglicans. Deny it, as much as they try - they OWN it.

Eight years in the making, bush leaves the country (and the world) with one more catastrophic 'accomplishment':

The Bush Depression

This is one thing he deserves credit for, and so we name it after him.
The connection should be between *Bush* & *Depression*.

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

The Bush Depression

3. I get depressed every time I hear the word republican...
I hate the sons of bitches! PERIOD!

Anybody who attacks my country is my freakin' enemy.

There is nothing of any value in this country that the neoCons did not attack and try to ruin.

"There is nothing of any value in this country that the neoCons did not attack and try to ruin."
I hear ya.

We need accountability and consequences. There must be repercussions.
Like Tweety says, 'elections should matter.'

6. The world is watching to see what the democrats will do to address
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 06:22 AM by Hubert Flottz
the criminality that has been allowed to proceed under Bush's reign of terror and unbridled premeditated lawlessness.

The American voters clear intent to see that the rule of law is at last, reinstated and upheld in this country, is reflected in the scale and the magnitude of the democratic win on this past November 4th.

I predict that Political Armageddon will befall the democrats in 2010, if they simply sit on their asses as usual and let the neocons slide again. And I think the democrats deserve to lose in 2010 if, they can't produce some justice and relief for the working population. I think the payback should start with Joe Lieberman being stripped and punished for his enabling and collaboration with war criminals and rip-off artists/neoCON-men. Joe is not..."WITH US"

The media should be reminding people that Bush is the President and he is the one who made this mess, but they are not.

18. He didn't just blow a budget surplus.
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 09:09 AM by lpbk2713

That's letting him off way too easy. He took a record budget surplus left to him by Clinton and
turned it in to a record budget deficit. A debt our grandchildren will be paying years from now.
