Call Congress RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

Put this right up there with Martha Stewart. And Elliott Spitzer. And all the other HORRIBLE democrats or left leaners.

He may as well be the posterboy for the bailout: greedy bastard who stood on others heads' while they were drowning to further his own career

2.  I've always suspected that Martha Stewart was targetted
because she was a big contributor to Dems. It's not even clear to me that she knowingly committed a crime and I am sure there are lots of other folks out there guilty of a lot more who were "overlooked."

3. Martha
Martha probably didn't commit the underlying crime. She got a call from her broker with a piece of inside info who told her she should sell, so she did. Now, people in the investment business know you shouldn't do that, but I don't see why someone outside of that business should necessarily understand that. Which is why as I recall they didn't get her on the underlying crime, they got her for obstructing the inquiry into it, as I recall.

Anyway, I hope Cuban goes down (assuming he's guilty). Loudmouth jerk.

4. Check my memory
Hasn't Mark Cuban been rather strident in poking around to find out what Paulson's been up to with all that lovely, lovely Treasury money that Congress handed over to him? I have no idea whether Cuban is guilty of insider trading, but I can't help but wonder if this isn't another politically-driven prosecution by the Bush administration. They have a bit of a track record, you know.

5. Cuban also was the guy who hired Dan Rather and gave him back a pedestal.

# Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) (executive producer)
# The Jacket (2005) (executive producer)
# "Independent Lens" (executive producer) (1 episode, 2005)

*BUT*

Cuban is an admirer of Objectivist philosophy and author/philosopher Ayn Rand.<69> About Rand's novel The Fountainhead, he said: " was incredibly motivating to me. It encouraged me to think as an individual, take risks to reach my goals, and responsibility for my successes and failures. I loved it."<70> His political views lean towards libertarianism.<71> However, he holds a position on the centrist Unity08 political organization's advisory council.<72>
