Joe Lieberman is the TRUE MAVERICK!
Edited on Mon Nov-17-08 02:44 AM by Cronus Protagonist
John McCain postures, poses and guffaws, but he's a big pussy and his maverickiness is all hat and no cattle. Palin is a brand, no substance at all, smoke and mirrors. Lieberman, however, is a true maverick - he gives a shit about no one and no thing other than Israel and keeping the war going, and he's willing to crap on his "caucusing" party's nominees publicly and to the n'th degree.

That's more mavericky than anyone else on the US national stage and he needs to pay dearly for it.

1. You just reminded me of an annoying slam on Obama from McCain
That whole thing about Obama seldom disagreeing with his party, I guess this is supposed to be the tit-for-tat response to McCain's over 90% siding with the Bush administration.

The point is, if the party (ANY party) you end up siding with is the one with the most ucked-fup policies, how is that a plus? Going against the grain for the sake of going against the grain is meaningless.

2. Good point.
But why does he "need" to pay?

A party that values freedom of expression should allow for some digression of thought, and not blind allegiance.

6. He needs to pay by losing his committee chairmanships.
Doesn't need to be kicked out of the caucus or anything.
