Frontline: Forget Lee Atwater, Mary Matalin's soul is the darkest of them all
PBS just aired "Boogeyman" the Lee Atwater story. Most of us probably know the story of Atwater but I was struck by what a truly rotten human being Mary Matalin is.

Besides dismissing Atwater's overtly racist tactics as "part of the game" and "not racist at all" she also said that his death bed conversion was a "myth" created by Democrats.

Truth is, Atwater got what was coming to him but what is more amazing is Matalin doesn't see the example he set as something to disavow but rather something to cherish. She is as sickening as they come and an extremely twisted human being.

1. It's her husband that I think we need to watch. Can you think of why an alleged lefty would be
married to a right wing extremist? The ideologies encompass every aspect of life. I don't buy this whole marriage. Something about it stinks very much.

3. I've never felt the same about Carville since they married
The further he is away from a working knowledge of how the DNC conducts its business the better.

28. Oh? And how did you feel about him BEFORE they married?
He was da KINE, bra. He was SMOKIN' every time he went on Crossfire and handed Novak his ass on a platter. Who knows, maybe you're not old enough to remember those heady days. He was THE FIRST DEFENDER of the Clintons, their policies, and Democratic ideology in general.

It just goes to show ya, there is no boundary that Love can't conquer. There is NO person we won't trash when they say things we don't agree with, rethug OR Democrat. What if he had married a progressive Dem? What would you be saying about him now?

The fickle finger of fate points at us all. Cool. Throw him out of the bus and HOPE its wheels run him over. One more good Dem sacrificed for the good of us all. Right?

We CANNOT choose who we fall in love with. It just happens.

Neither one of them actually gives a shit about the real outcomes of the policies they play around. They think politics is just a game. Just sport. They're fat and happy warm and oblivious and they do not give a shit about anything outside their pampered little world.

6. one of the best quotes of that whole show was from all Novakula-
"Republicans want to win elections, but democrats actually have beliefs" he then when on to say our beliefs were wrong but i think you get the point, republicans have no real beliefs. Matalin is just cold, she's not unlike what Atwater was, Roger Stone as well, i loved how he tried to paint himself as somehwat reasonable, what a giant fail that was.

8. I was naive about Matalin
I always thought she was just a small minded party hack, but this Frontline was a shocking glimpse into what is in reality a cold blooded sociopath. And she's raising children, which is beyond frightening.

16. She wasn't one of Cheney's closest aides these last 8 years being soft
and Carville was her weasel inside the Kerry camp on Election night in 2004.

They played a big role in getting Kerry to concede so fast.

Notice that he was nowhere near Obama this year.........

He was part of Hil's team and that speaks pages about her.

The Big Dawg was the best REPUBLICAN president we ever had.

Nuff said

From a Washington Post article I read about Atwater's last couple of months, I even get the impression that the "born again" stuff was a work.

I wouldn't put it past this group of criminals.

It is even more disturbing than the film. I can generally find cause for sympathy even for people I loathe when they become ill or pass away, but in his case, I only find satisfaction.

Tucker Bounds you could almost feel sorry for. You knew that despite following the Book of Atwater as religiously as possible, he was headed for epic fail and didn't even know it yet. But Matalin...she's just a piece of work.

39. Like her poisonous mentor Atwater,
Matalin is utterly devoid of humanity, decency, morals, ethics, or honor. May she meet a similar fate. I have no sympathy for her kind of evil any more than I have for Charles Manson's sort of evil. The harshest possible cosmic retribution is the only real justice.

41. Matalin is a chilling piece of work. And what's with her & her husband's mask-like faces?
They look so much alike, it's scary.

And while I'm at it: no, I don't trust Carville as far as I could throw him. He literally sleeps with the enemy and I think they are two of a kind, an impression reinforced by their faces.

Hekate
