I live in a small town in Northern Florida. This area has a strong gun culture and many people hunt deer and hog in season. Before the election, I got a call from a local Democratic campaign. They knew I had obtained an absentee ballot and ask me to make sure that I voted for their candidate as "He has a great record on supporting gun owners rights and has a excellent rating from the NRA and you know how important the Second Amendment is!" That was their single argument.

His Republican opponent also had an excellent NRA rating. I voted for the Democrat as all the local people said he was an excellent man who treated all people fairly. Besides, I prefer to vote for Democrats.

And would never dream of doing something like that. Bullets can go past their intended target and may strike someone causing injury or death. Never point a firearm at something that you do not intend to destroy. You don't need a gun. You need a foam bat!!

Aside from that I understand your frustration. Palin really is a twit. She will be her own undoing. She isn't as clever as Cheney who had the sense to stay under the radar all these years. She is more like a televangelist who preaches and preaches until they get caught with a stripper. Palin will sink herself sooner or later. I seriously doubt she will ever be anything more than a sideshow from the 2008 election.

When someone comes on TV and pisses you off, grab the nerf gun and blast away. It is fun and relieves anger without damaging your TV. Try it, you'll like it. It's neat when you can stick 6 nerf darts on their face.

Right now I am watching a show on Science Channel about the pink fairy armadillo that is about 4 inches long and lives in the far western desert of Argentina. They seem to be sand swimmers and seldom come out on the surface. Cute little guys that I had never heard of.
