Whether fiery desert or blinding snow Give the word Sir, and away we shall go.
Shoulder to shoulder my brothers and I None of us asking questions Just doing it 'til we die. Wherever our flag may fly.
We are the machine Driven to fight and defend Operated sometimes by fools But our will never bends Our honor never ends. The men at my back; my only friends.
If you fall by my side, I shall fight with both our pride And carry you home For your flag covered ride. Although I've also died inside.
We that returned, left a part of us "there" Owned now by our opponent, and the horrors we shared. A bond only known between warriors, women and men. And though we paid a price, we'd do it all again. Even warriors actually hate war, but we do what we do. So the people we love and protect, never will have to. -S
To all of our Veterans everywhere I salute you for your service.
