GOP leader: Rebuild party based on 'sanctity of marriage'
<snip>
When asked by Chris Wallace what "conservative solutions" the GOP would bring to their current minority-party status, Pence said social issues like "the sanctity of marriage" will remain the backbone of the Republican platform.
<snip>
The Indiana representative cited the ballot measures against gay marriage that passed on Election Day as evidence of the continuing presence of conservative values.
"There were three state referendums on marriage ... all three carried. The vitality of the conservative movement around the country is very real," said Pence.

That's right! At gay people. There better be a strong push back now.
This will not be about "gay marriage" but about homosexuality period.
What a smokescreen. Better be some plans now.

1. If they do that and use Palin as their hope for the future...
The GOP will be history before long.

Those are old issues that the American people are fed up with and the longer it takes the GOP to realize that, the deader the party will be.

2. I hope all this leads to the Churches that stand up for the GOP to
pay taxes just like the unions that back politicians have to.

3. Republicans stand for "limited government, a belief in free markets, in the sanctity of life"
There has been so much respect for those things from the Bush Administration and Congressional Republicans.

4. God, Guns, and Gays
The backbone of the GOP platform.

Strategically, the GOP have done well using fear and ignorance on these three subjects and our side has done a great job of giving them a lot of latitude.

"Better be some plans now."?

Doubtful

5. I suggest we match each of their amendment propositions
with an identical one removing some constitutional right from Republicans - particularly in states where conservatives are the minority.

You can damn well bet they'd be rushing to some "activist" judges right away.

6. The Republicans are getting Gay again
They dig gay. They can't stop talking about it.
The best way to fight the pukes is to make them look like buffoons.
It should be easy. They're doing most of the work.
