Because with an administration this desperate....they may decide to knock off a democratic Senator with a Republican Governor who would appoint a Republican Senator to tip the balance in the Senate thus putting Republicans back in chairman control of Congress....

1. I've been saying ever since he got sick that Tim Johnson

should have an around the clock armed guard. Not that the Republican governors would do anything, of course, but you never know about them 'lone assassins'. It would only take one switch to give the Senate to the Repubs, and that has to be an inticing prospect for them. So close, yet so far away. We have reputations on the line, you know.

I would find it very odd that there are US Senators walking around unprotected, especially in this day and age.
