I was wondering last night what school the Obama's would choose for them.

When was the last time we had children this young in the WH? Was it the Kennedy's?

She is soooo daddy's girl. She has Michele's serious eyes, whereas Malia has Obama's "big vision" look.

It's exactly right. There's not an ounce of antagonism ... just totally THERE. EVERY person has an inalienable right to their 'space' ... and nobody should give up their joy at being an essential being in this Universe.

She's a PERSON, too. Ubetcha!

23. Sasha is definitely the "character" of the Obama girls.

Personality to burn and a little bit of sassiness. She looks like mom but with her dad's eyes. Malia looks like Barack, but with Michelle's eyes.

25. While Sasha is my favorite by a nose, I wouldn't sell Malia short.

Malia is closing in on that "twelve-going-on-twenty-three" life's passage. There's an innate HONESTY in the kids that lets us see their evident maturation on their faces. These are NOT devious people. Malia is just oozing that on-the-doorstep-to-adolescence contemplation. Her features are becoming more mature, with some definition in the cheeks (great smile muscles) and jawline (sense of her own power). She's showing signs of becoming a drop-dead gorgeous young woman ... smart, alert, probing, observant, insightful, and comfortable in her beautiful skin. At the same time, her eyes betray a JOY that the world is one vast amusement park and she's looking at all the rides. She has ENORMOUS potential, imho. This is a formidable human being in the making. The abundance of love and self-respect in that family is awesome. They're "keeping it real" and demonstrating true 'family values.' I have to believe that some things just can't be faked.

Until I had two boys.

Now, I do miss all that girly-girl stuff. And I'll miss having a woman to talk to as I get older, someone to be as close to as I am to my own mother.

But I don't regret for one small second having two boys.

So no, I don't think he does. There's something about the children you do have just filling you up. And from what I can see, those are two very special girls, and very loved girls.
