As a lover of Fashion Pins" to add to what I wear, I found this site monitoring Michelle a great read.

For all of us "fashion mavens and "pin mavens" we gotta know that Michelle is going to be a great spur to us who just love fashion and Creative Dressing....

Check it out if you are a "quirky dresser" and just love Creativity in Fashion....All others need NOT POST! :D

2. Let's hope that the bedspread, drapery and upholstery fabrics
Laura Bush wore in her years as First Lady are banned by Michelle Obama.

9. The site has some posters questioning that "Red Spider Outfit" but..
I love Michelle because she "Takes Chances!" She's going to be GREAT for the Economy in shifting American Fashion. She has a great sense of style even though sometimes she "flubs up" but she is very attuned to being "Her Own Self!"

She is going to be a powerhouse for Retail! Those of us who don't have much money can still buy a "pin" or something...even from the Thrift Shops.. that get's the "Michelle Look" and that's gonna help our flagging retailers...with those who buy from the "Top Down" ...but the "Bottom Up" is now the new "In-Style Vogue" because even when "times get tough" we Gals still want to be creative and spruce up our looks and the Media still wants to report about FASHION...and set an agenda about what we wear.

Fashion Industry trashed Roselyn Carter for "making her own clothes or buying off the rack" and Carter lasted only One Term! Nancy Reagan was a Fashion Plate and a friend of mine who owned a small fashion shop in Princeton, N.J. always claimed Nancy did more for her "Store Sales" than any Dem ever did.

Back to Michelle...I think she has potential to HELP ECONOMY by buying LOCAL and pumping those she buys from that HELPS our ECONOMY! If one has a few coins one and one wants to look better...then where does one go for a "LOOK?"

She's GREAT FOR the FASHION ECONOMY!

GO MICHELLE! Great on CREATIVITY AND STYLE....unlike Laura Bush who dressed "safe" in Drapes and "St. Johns' Knits" so she ALWAYS looked "correct and proper" compared to Michelle.

I'll go with Michelle and BREAK OUT for WOMEN's FASHION. SHE's GOT HER OWN GREAT STYLE!

4. I personally believes she dresses beautifully. She Does remind me of Jackie.
...except I found that dress last night was downright ugly and unflattering. The red areas made no sense and were blaring.

14. I look forward to seeing what earrings and beads/necklaces

she wears! I love to see something creative and Michelle never disappoints. I LOVE her earrings.

I happen to agree with the critics of last night's dress. I hate it less today but it's just so confusing! The colors are great on her but  but I'll still love her no matter what she wears!

I think she would look FABULOUS in a pantsuit. Not a Hillary pantsuit, but a sleek longer jacket over slim legs. And some crazy wild ass jewelry.

:bounce: I think it's going to be a lot of fun waiting to see what Michelle is wearing.

15. She also has a great collection of "pins"
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 09:38 PM by KoKo01
and though they've been "outta style for awhile" it's fun to see her wearing them in ones, twos and threes..which add fun stuff to clothes even when one likes to "dress down.

She's good with her accessorizing.

It's just really cool to see..........! CREATIVITY doesn't have to COST ALOT...but adds much to our lives! EXPESSION! After the BUSHIES...we could use some "shabby CHIC for the Hard Times a'coming! Michelle does it all with great Middle Class Style...and those "Second Hand Rose Shops" have some great buys out there so we can all be who we are if we love "fashion & fluff...but have little bucks to buy!

6. I have admired everything I have seem Mrs O wear but this dress
made me flinch. Not only did I not care for the cross cut front but the red and black, all lines and angles did not cut it for TV. She has done so well prior to this, I think she can better choose her clothes. All I can see is some consultant stuffing her into the "latest". She has such class and charm, she should keep in mind that clothes do not make the man(yes,I know).

I believe she should go with her judgment prior to this little number. She is beautiful, the dress is not.

PS, why can't I post here? Others on the mrs-o.org site didn't like the dress either. To each etc.

Pins I like, fashion appreciation is fine, this dress is a no go.

10. That Dress was a "No Go" ....but she's stressed and her style is "intuitive" and
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 07:39 PM by KoKo01
she will learn from this. Believe it...from someone whose been around through many Presidential Ladies.

Michelle's Class and Style will eventually "win out" when she has resources that will be the BEST.

All our Presidential First Ladies evolve...and those today have great access to the "best of the fashionistas." It's sad that Laura Bush preferred to be dressed by those in the "Drapier Industry."

Michelle is going to be the best thing that ever happened to Fashion in America since Jackie Kennedy...but I don't want to get into that "media thingy" comparing Obama Family to Kennedy Family...BECAUSE they ARE NOT THE SAME...Much as WHORE MEDIA wants to Put that CRAP out there about them!

What a class act.

I LOVED the red dress with the rhinestone bows at the neck she wore at the last debate.

Just gorgeous.
