The Democratic Party needs to come back with a strategy...

Just what legislation do they want to pass? How far are they willing to go to pass it? Are they willing to confront the opposition head on?

If they can pass it, Obama will sign it. Much is on the shoulders of our House and Senate leadership. Do they wish to pass legislation or do they wish to work in a bi-partisan way? Is it possible to do both?

This is something the Democrats need to be thinking about. First of all, they need to re-configure this huge bailout to the banks and Wall Street. They do not need to wait until January 21st. That money needs to go to the people - not to the banks.

There is no doubt that the Republicans will resort to the filibuster whenever they have the opportunity. They are a Party of opposition. Some will be up for re-election in 2 more years. We cannot let them forget that fact.
