How do you go to the inauguration festivities?
Do you have to have tickets? Be invited? I would love to go. I'm only 4 hours away from DC. Any ideas on what's being planned?

Anyone can go to the Inauguration, but you wouldn't get close to the Capitol. During the week, it's a lot of fun to go to the Mall. Tents will be set up with lots of activities. We went ot Clinton's 1st Inauguration.

2. You have a wide range of choices .... from standing along the parade route to attending ............
..... one of the many Inaugural Balls.

Nothing needed but your smiling face to do the first.

Connections, tickets, a gown/tuxedo, and the exchange of a prescribed collection of the coin of the realm required for the second. State delegations and special interest groups all hold such balls. I expect the biggest one this year will be Illinois'.

3. It helps to have Democratic connections...
do you have friends or family who are politically connected who might be able to help you out? This is especially true if you want a ticket to any of the balls/parties.
