Now we just need to replace Reid and Pelosi
They're too complicit in Bush's crimes. Heck, Pelosi has even said Bush hasn't committed any crimes! We need new leadership all the way around. Biden has already sworn that the Bush regime will be investigated. We need congressional leadership that will not throw up roadblocks.

1. Thats what the freepers were trying to do yesterday
They failed and went down in flames trying.

Pelosi is now the most powerful woman in America.

Get over it.

24. get over it? get over the fact that she
saved her financial ass by bailing out AIG, where she had $300,000 invested? Get over her taking impeachment off the table, leading this administration to even more lawless behavior? Get over her passage of FISA? get over her kowtowing to the White House with such regularity that Muslims were able to get their 5 daily prayers in simply by observing her behavior in office?

get over it? To hell with that. Pelousy and Reid need to go. New blood is necessary.

2. Well, good luck with that.
I can't see that happening.

And unfortuntely, I can see the leadership becoming the hurdles in Obama's path.

3. It's stupid to waste time on that. Sorry.
We have NO say in choosing the leadership in the House or Senate. And no, this isn't a case where letters or petitions help.

5. President-elect Obama will not begin "purging" people
Anyone who really believes in and trusts our new president will not waste an hour or day plotting retribution against anyone, even Lieberman. No one has to like him, or anyone else who opposed us, but if we begin seeking vengeance on foes doesn't that take us dangerously close to being the sort of people we loathe?
If the President-elect is trying to be as inclusive as possible and change the political culture, we should stand behind him.

but whatever. I see the apologists are out in full force this morning.

8. I am not an apologist
I want to get past the rancor and bullshit of the last eight years.
But if you are hellbent on continuing it, have at it.

10. No, I am hellbent on repealing all the anti-GBLT
legislation that was passed yesterday. And if you think the rancor and the bullshit will be gone just because Obama is in the White House, you are sadly mistaken.

11. "Centrists" are already trying to claim the Obama Presidency as their own.
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 10:08 AM by Romulox
Pelosi is the queen of the status quo "centrists", so they feel it is imperative to come to her aid.

14. lol. the rule of law? sorry, the rule of law is not the issue here.
look, I don't care for either Reid or Pelosi, but it's not our call. They're elected by their peers. And Obama would be a fucking idiot to try and select the Senate or House leadership- particularly at the onset of his administration.

16. Can we not go ONE FUCKING DAY without attacking our own party?
Personally, I don't give a damn about Bushco anymore. They've been discredited. I would much rather look forward and concentrate on cleaning up their mess and helping out the people who have REAL needs instead of dwelling on vengeance. I don't want to waste another NANOSECOND of my life with this people. Progressives look forward..they don't dwell on the past.

27. only if we dig deep at the beach, and stick our heads in the sand.
if we fail to fix obvious flaws in our own party, how the hell can we expect the US to follow our lead?

take lieberman. Please.
what purpose is served by maintaining his chairmanshit? Instead of having a talented non-partisan rational thinker, he uses it to push forward pro-Israel, anti-US decisions and postures, which don't serve our best interests. He pushes forward the GOP talking points. are we supposed to ignore that flawed fool? Why? Why waste the time?

20. They have enabled Bush every step of the way
They are not leaders, they are enablers.

Most recently, they just gave away billions of dollars in a "bailout" (looting) so that corporate execs could have bigger bonuses and buy other companies. That was a major scam carried out by our "Democrats" when an overwhelming majority of Americans were against it. They are about as committed to liberal principles and our Democracy as Lieberman.

21. Do people really believe that the only problem in the last 8 years was Bush?
Bush could not have accomplished anything without the complicity of the US Congress.

Just recently, Nancy ignored everyone and handed out billions of dollars to appease Bush's corporate friends.

My excitement about Obama winning is wanning as I see Duers not understanding the scope of what is happened in our country the last 8 years...as if everything is just fine now...

In 2006, Fancy Nancy parlayed her Congressional Seat into a seat at The Rich White Man's Table.
She has NEVER looked back!

I used to be a huge supporter of Nancy Pelosi.
