A bit of Wisdom

...Not from me, I don't have that much. Sitting here at work, I came across this from one of the groups here.

As much as I'd like to gloat, and run around acting like a vengeful victor, giving back to the FREEPERS, Conservatives, and Republicans in general EVERYTHING they have dished out since 2000, but maybe, just maybe mind you, this little dose of wisdom should take me where I should go.

We've had 8 years of arrogance, belligerence, and petulant behavior from the other side of the aisle.

Maybe I should try (try being the key word there) to be better than all that.

I don't know. Right now, I ecstatic. We have experienced a true moment of historic significance. When I was born, there were "Whites Only Drinking Fountains" and blatant Racism against fellow Americans for no other reason than the color of their skin.

Now, since then, we have elected the 1st African American President of this country!! I am so Proud of my Country today for that.

But we have so much further left to go.

After reading the above linked thread, it really got me to thinking.

OK, I'll jump down off my soapbox now.

3. Let me tell you something.

I hate these f'ing bastards. I hate them with a cold burning passion.

I celebrated our victories tonight... mostly here on DU. If Al Franken pulls it out, I'll do a little more.

But then it's back to work. There are still 40+ Senators that need to go. And 150+ members of the People's House.

And let's not forget Joe F'ing LIEberman.

And then there are the local elected idiots. They all have to go too.

I trust Obama to take care of his end. He is a smart guy and doesn't need us for making the US government run.

But he needs us to completely crush these lying smirking rat bastards.

They ain't dead yet.

4. Success is the best revenge

If President Obama can become a great president, that will do more to silence the radical right than anything we can do.

And it will work for decades.
