Will you hang a framed photo of President Obama in your home?
Years ago it was the thing to do. Think about how many JFK photos and misc. items have made their way to Antique stores?

1. No, for the same reason I would not hang a photo of ANY OTHER
political leader

A while back, the party sent me a picture of him and Biden. I'm going to frame it and put it on the wall.

It has never occurred to me to hang up a picture of a politician though.

I have a book called "Dreams of Bill" in my library
and I have a poster (actually a protest sign on a pole) of W captioned "Freedumb" in the coat closet
and I downloaded a copy of Obama's logo today (to stare at) to my desktop,
So who knows.

22. don't think having a picture....
necessarily means idolizing....

I have photos of Gandhi, MLK, Einstein, Rosa Parks, Dalai Lama
folks I admire and draw inspiration from in a special place in my home...
Barack will be added soon.

23. Framed Poster!
Yes, I will! I grew up with a picture of JFK on the wall, next to a picture of a waving American flag. It wasn't weird, or freeperish, or nationalist. It said something about who my family was and what their values were, I think. You're damn right I want my grandchildren to remember that grandma had a pic of Obama on the wall.

27. i know people who will and good for them
i am of a background that you don't put up anything on the walls except pics of nature and non-representational art -- even photos of FAMILY are put in photo albums and not on walls

hence always a bit uncomfortable w. what i call ancestor worshop, be it an altar of a zillion family photos, be it fdr, jfk, mlk photos...it just isn't me...on the other hand, i think it's pretty cool that we can even debate about something like this

short answer -- my house is not the post office, i don't hang president's photos there, but if you wish to do so...go for it

28. No, not while he is in office.
This is America, not North Korea.

When he leaves office I might consider it as a memento.
