Is this a media thing for ratings or what?

I'll be glad when this is over, assuming we win.

1. No, worry about the five states McCain will flip with 6% better turnout. McCain is winning
because R turnout is often even more of a spread than that.

4. I think it's been 318 all day. It was 333, as I recall over the weekend. What's with the dashboard?
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 03:58 PM by godai
The dashboard shows over 40 million votes each for Obama and McCain, with McCain having a big EV lead. What's with these estimates?

Weird...I refreshed the dashboard page a few times and now the vote totals are gone. Now I see the 318 EV projection but just a few minutes ago, there were vote totals listed.

9. They show Florida leaning Blue now.

I'd love to see that happen.

10. No Data from Vt. and Md.

Vermont, by all accounts, has a slim Obama lean. Something like 40 points. Maryland, on the other hand, is much closer. Over 20 but less than 30. Are you kidding me. Add those 13 Evs to Obama and get some rest.

7. Obama had about 350 last week.
McLame's numbers always go up, even though he's going down.

8. Interesting how different Intrade is.
The betting doesn't consider Florida a tossup. Or Pennsylvania.

11. I've been keeping track of this, too. It's making me nervous about deja vu all over again.
What worries me is that I was in Miami the night before the 2000 election and the town was going ape shit for Al Gore's big last minute "Sleepless in Miami" rally with Stevie Wonder and Jon Bon Jovi on Miami Beach. It was all love and togetherness. There was no way Gore could lose!

Tonight I'm in Philly, and the town is going ape shit for Biden's big surprise appearance at Marconi Park in South Philly with Jimmy Rollins and a bunch of other Phillies speaking up for Obama. The town is totally stoked for Obama, you can't walk anywhere in Center City without running into volunteers for Obama handing out literature on every block. Literally! I came home and found an Obama flier in my bag and I don't even remember how I got it. But I'm getting that uncomfortable feeling, again.

I dunno, it couldn't happen again, right?

If McMummy does win, I'm pretty sure his inaugural parade will make W.'s first like like a love in, though.
