And end with "Enough of this crud, Matlock's on!"

4. I don't think he has the guts to face the american people
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 02:30 PM by MaryEllen37
I don't think he will concede and I don't think he will call Obama either.

18. I don't see him conceding either. He doesn't have the grace or class.
Besides the GOP is going to be screaming voter fraud, from the roof tops. Bet they drag out James Baker III so he can tell us that the votes HAVEN'T been counted, this time.

28. I bet you you're wrong about that.
If the vote is as one-sided as is being predicted, he will concede publicly and he will call Obama and pledge his support.

$10 to DU if I'm wrong. You in?

6. My Friends at a rate of every 30 sec.
I think he'll make a speech, but not to concede. I think it will actually take him a few days to concede. They will hope for a legal way to effect election results. They won't find it and will concede in a few days.

7. Sorry, but I do not take pleasure in McCain losing.
In the interests of the country he should not be President. But it's the cranks in his campaign, Fox News and the RW idiots with their bizarre claims who should be humiliated.

24. I don't know. But I plan to listen respectfully, and then praise him for a good speech.
In 2000, my ultra-right-wing in-laws spent the whole time during Al Gore's concession speech (one of the finest speeches of any kind given anywhere in the last decade) hooting and cat-calling, and just generally being disgusting toward him. Right then, I planned than when the next election went our way (or the one after that, it turns out) I was going to be the better person. I wouldn't descend into such puerile childishness. And I won't. I will dazzle my Republican wife with my maturity and good manners.

You guys can do whatever you want with my blessing. It's been a rough eight years for all of us.

29. With him making his comments remotely, anything is possible
That's why the whole making comments from the garden and not in the room story was so puzzling to me.

Has he had a 'turn to Jesus' moment and will he apologize for the negativity and try to bring the country together without having to fear the room turn against him?
