Texans, dumber than the plumber
http://bayareahouston.blogspot.com/2008/10/texans-dumber-than-plumber.html

According to the Houston Chronicle 23% of Texans are dumber than the plumber and believes Senator Obama is a Muslim. Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, AKA Joe the Plumber, is a huge insult to the real plumbers of our country and many homeowners who have had a leak in their water mains would agree.

WASHINGTON — .... 23 percent of Texans are convinced that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is a Muslim.

Talk about being stupid. This goes beyond being ignorant. Ignorance can be corrected, being a uninformed, stupid, racist, Texas, redneck can not. What these ignorant morons should consider is that even Shep Smith of Fox TV (TV for dumbfux, fair and balanced) hammered the plumber over stupidity he embraces. This guy is a frinkin idiot when it comes to anything besides being an unlicensed plumber, even though he really isn't a plumber, and he is an embarrassment to hard working plumbers.

14. I feel sorry for the thinking people that live in Texas.
I'm sure the state itself has a lot of appeal, and some of the ignorant, misinformed people there are probably nice folks otherwise, but still, it would be a drag to feel like you were the only one in your town who "gets it"!

It IS rather embarrassing to me, considering I truly DO love Oklahoma (believe it or not!)...

3. 23%? That is very sad.
And unfortunately, their opinions can not be swayed, even with hard, cold facts.

5. Well you got me on that one.
Texas really sucks. Look at this:
http://bayareahouston.blogspot.com/2007/02/its-official-texas-worst-place-to-live.html

We really do suck, but if we can take over the house, we might be able to start turning things around.

12. No argument here
It is just the worst place to live in the US unless you like pollution, highest electricy and insurance rates in the nation, college costs that have doubled over the last 2 years, etc etc etc.

Other than that, it is a great place to live, if you dont mind the hot summers, mosquitos, and dumber than dirt republicans.

7. It's part of the core republican base
They will say Obama is a muslim because they think it hurts him. They would say he was a kangaroo if they thought it would help their cause. Ask the question in any deep red state, and I think you'll get the same result.

You need to edit your title to say Texas republicans, because you insinuate all Texans are dumb, and I assure you, as a life-long Texan and democrat, I am not dumb! Your title insults tens of thousands of Texan democrats, yourself included!

9. That's the talking points that the GOP has been spewing
so it's bound to stick with some. Remember, there is still a large number of folks that still believe Saddam was involved in 911, thus their justification for going into Iraq. We've really got our jobs cut out for us in re-educating those minds. It's not going to make President Obama's job any easier with these lies still in the hearts and minds of these citizens.

10. It Is Embarrassing
I had a talk over coffee with a Repug yesterday and his contention is that Obama's father is a Muslim. Its transferable. If you are born to a Muslim then you are always Muslim, as he said "Cuz they just don't let you go." He went on about Obama being their secret weapon and at that point I had to take my coffee to my office to stop spitting it out.

He had an email that he got from his mother that told him all these important facts. Its from the internet....its got to be true! (sarcasm)

16. I consider myself lucky
In my immediate office area, out of 13 people here, I know of at least 5 who have early-voted for Obama. This is in San Antonio. We're actually bold enough to have political conversations in the office! I have used my "soapbox" quite often; as a result I think some of this straight talk (heh-heh) rubs off on the not-so-well informed.
