Got there at 4:30 pm and there were probably 100 people in line. Voting was done at a strip mall. There were several people in the parking lot giving out information on local democrats running for office, but didn't see anyone with Obama/Biden literature. Lots of McLame signs and several people were walking around the parking lot carrying big McLame flags. I was asked my name and address, but didn't have to show any ID. Took about 30 minutes to vote using paper ballots. In NC, if you vote a straight party ticket, you still have to vote for president seperately. Ballots were given out with a yellow note card reminding voters of this. There was a line for Spanish-speaking voters. After voting, we fed out ballots into a ballot reading machine. The guy standing in front of me had his ballot kicked back out with a message telling him he filled in too many blanks, so they destroyed his ballot in front of him and gave him another one. That is all.
