1. Now that Joe is officially on the campaign trail, I guess he is fair game?
The McCain people have laughably complained about his private life being out there. Now what can they say?

2. Except McCain is playing the wrong game
Barack is playing chess and McCain is playing tic-tac-toe for dummies.

3. Joe's 15 Minutes...Literally
Joe was a figment of Gramps fetid imagination...he saw the clip and soon "Joe" became Gramps new "common man". The big problem is Gramps never knew a "common man"...most he ever encountered were known as "hired help". So Gramps is stuck in a mess...the economy has gone to hell, he needs something he can use to bullshit he has some connection with all the pain going on...enter "Joe The Plumber".

The fact there's a body associated with it was inconsequential, but it's showing us the total disconnect in the entire GOOP party. Yep, Gramps really thinks he's got a "winner" in Joe...a symbol for his conveluted battle to make Obama appear as a socialist...and the fact that Joe just happens to be a white, angry, middle-aged, christian male...so much the better. Joe really didn't have to be Joe (he wasn't), he didn't have to be a plumber (he's not licensed), he didn't have to be earning 250k a year nor even close to owning a business...in Grampsworld, Joe's the 2008 version of John Henry.

Inversely, Joe's your typical wingnut with all the answers and none of the knowledge...hell, that's a "librul" concept. He's that beer drinkin', Rushbo-lovin', gun-tottin', country music lovin' asshat that represents how our culture of hate radio, self gratification and disdain for education turns out these gems. And Joe's gonna make the most of it. But his clock is running...he goes back to being a plumber's helper next Wednesday.

4. He chose his VP on the basis of the PUMA fiction. The man is a dunce.
