I hope my baby is born during an Obama presidency!

I'm really feeling like Obama will win. There's a real sense of change in the world. Even conservatives I know say they're mentally prepared for an Obama win. In fact, some conservatives I know are even voting for Obama. Remember the Regan Democrats? I know a few Obama Republicans! I know it isn't a sure thing, but please allow me to feel optimistic.

It will make me happy to have my new daughter born when Obama is in office.

1. My kids (8 & 11) were both born during Clinton's last term, but they've never

experienced anything in their "aware" ages other than us vehemently despising the illegitimate occupant of the White House.

It will be wonderful for them to experience what it is like to be proud of the president.

It's been a long time ... I hardly remember the feeling, myself.

2. 9/11 happened during my last pregnancy

I felt scared and sad to bring a baby into a world with that kind of uncertainty.

It feels very different this time.
