My response:
Dear Campbell,
Last evening you said Sen.Obama broke his campaign promise to accept public financing. You failed to mention that on June 6th of this year Bob Bauer of Sen.Obama's campaign met with Sen.McCain's advisor, Trevor Potter, to discuss (as promised) the public finance issue, particularly 527s. Whether it was lack of preparedness or disinterest, the McCain campaign failed to negotiate or get back to the Obama people on the issue. Obviously, after time went on the handwriting was on the wall for the Obama campaign's ability to finance themselves. McCain could have opted out too but chose not to. I think to dismiss out of hand that the Obama campaign simply chose their own financing is twisted without mentioning the good faith efforts of the Obama campaign advisors.
Sincerely yours,

Sometimes I just can't take it anymore with the blatant lies and/or incessant spinning of events. I know this is not a life or death issue of the campaign but Campbell seemed to think it important enough to further poison the water with by reporting her version of the event. Another effort of MSM's (imho) to label Sen.Obama an elitist. I guess my purpose with this response is to advise Ms.Brown that some of us are listening.
