Update on my neighbor's yard signs: cool picture
I posted yesterday and promised a picture when the sun came up in the northeast. Well, we got a couple of inches of snow overnight -- makes the picture that much cooler.

I had my neighbor pegged as a McSame supporter. I knew he was a smart guy, but seems a bit conservative. And I jumped to conclusions based upon his "support the troops" sign. Turns out he IS a smart guy after all. Enjoy the picture....

5. Let them win the war/illegal occupation that's unwinnable?
 That is a "cool" pic. And we complain when it dips below 40F here.

7. Yeah, I didn't get that either.
I would like to support them by getting them the hell out of a place that they never had any business in in the first place.

Northwest Pennsylvania
I guess they're still calling this a battleground state even though most polls show Obama with a nice lead. It chills me to the bone to have McSame and Caribou Barbie spending so much time here. They need to go home.

9. Great for your neighbor. I guess he is a smart man. Now, I hate to be a buzzkill, but...
...what's a win? What is a win in Iraq? The Iraqis letting us plunder their oil? All of the Iraqis dying and leaving us their country in their wills? The Iraqis agreeing to makeover their country in our image, and adopting urban sprawl, childhood obesity, mediocre public education, ramshackle public transport? The Iraqis saying "Yeah. It's cool. Invade our country, kill 1,000,000 of us, rape our daughters and shoot our sons; we won't fight back or anything."

What's a win?

10. "What's a win?"
I can't answer that question for you. But that's why I found this whole next-door situation to be post-worthy. Neighbor apparently still supports the war , yet has decided to support Obama / Biden.

13. Dude. What's all that white stuff on the ground?
Man, I haven't seen snow in years. I've almost forgotten what it's like to open your door and see a blanket of white on your lawn. :(

You ought to see February and March. Municipalities have to put tall flags on fire hydrants so they can find them in the snow. Here's one from last winter (note the height of snow relative to mailboxes):

15. Short mailboxes?
It's beautiful. That's the one bad thing about living in a humid, subtropical climate. We rarely see the white stuff.
