We are inheriting it at the worst time in history. It is a great trust and we will have to work like hell to support our leaders. I don't mean to be preaching, but as an old person who has earned my white hairs, I hope we are ready to work as hard with our leaders as we have getting them elected.

This is the only reference I will make to it, but I trust Obama has his eyes on Pennsylvania. There is some reason McCain has in going there. I fear a theft of this state and I think that old fossil (yeah I'm a fossil too)thinks he can do it.

1. Then it would great fortune that at this time we would get such power.
Imagine the failure that would ensue if the republicans were coming into such power right now.

Republicans are cheating everywhere. I just think the margins of victory are too great to fudge away.

2. Actually I see it as a chance to fix things like we couldn't otherwise
One has to remember why we are in this mess to begin with and thats a willful drive to get us here by those who could have stopped it. So all we have to do is the right things now and all the rest will fall in place. IMHO

Obama is going to win and win big and with a big win comes a mandate. A mandate to correct the things that got us here. In time we will see that there really was a silver lining on that dark cloud that hangs over us today.

4. An Obama administration is up to the challenge
Perfect time for us as a nation to turn around the past 8 disastrous years. I'm full of energy and hope and ready to get started!

5. Well then, there'd better be no more lame excuses for inaction
I understand that the Dems cannot implement their own ideas without a veto-proof majority BUT they have not exercised their power to BLOCK the worst of Bush's initiatives.

We need better party discipline so that the DINOs understand that voting with the Republicans means a well-funded primary challenger next time around.
