Finally!!!...
..."National Security" rules over "Homeland Security".

I was so sick of the fascist/communist sounding "Homeland Security" I wanted to barf many times.

Now we're back to reality. What a pleasure it is to hear the phrase "National Security" again...

Ahhh...

1. I know what you mean. It has been as if the language, laws,
purpose of our Country has been derailed. Do you know what the purpose for the return to normal broadcasting language?

4. This Agency Needs To Be Dismantled...
Yes, National sure sounds better than "Homeland", but it's been a clusterfuck no matter what name you give it. It's failed again with Ike as it did with Katrina (we're just not hearing about it) and it's become a patronage army loaded with booooshbots and paper shufflers. FEMA worked far better when it was automous and hopefully it will be again. This awful reaction to 9/11 makes this country more vulnerable because it is so top heavy.

6. So Much For Republican Leaders Being For "Less Government"...
Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 05:00 AM by Indi Guy
These hypocrites have undermined our National Security by leaps and bounds. They pretend to want "Homeland Security," while eviscerating laws that protect our genuine security.

I'll even go further than what you suggest -- The charter of the Department of Homeland Security was likely written by foreigners.

Google "John Yoo" (S. Korean co-author of "The Patriot Act." & proponent of the "Unitary President")...

Here's a start -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Yoo

5. Agreed - sounds too much like "Fatherland" or "Motherland"
Hopefully, they'll rename lower Manhattan's "Freedom Tower" (whenever they get around to building it) to something less jingoistic.
