Let's play "See How Long You can Read this without Throwing Something"!
My GOD, WHAT shows are these people WATCHING?

Found on Cleveland's Letters Unlimited Blog:

http://blog.cleveland.com/letters/2008/10/obama_would_put_money_in_one_p.html

Your letter is absolutely correct! Obama cannot execute his massive liberal spending plan by raising taxes only on those whose income exceeds $250K while cutting them for everyone else. There simply aren't enough taxpayers in this bracket to provide the tax revenues his big spending plan for America entails. It's a campaign promise that will NEVER be fulfilled.

The liberals have had a difficult time defending Obama's tax policy to those who have been successful and paid the majority of income taxes collected. Obama is counting on the many taxpayers (voters) who know little about the existing tax code and how he will change it since they don't pay ANY income taxes at all. This is Obama's largest voting bloc and the majority of his base.

And this notion that companies don't pass on cost increases to the consumer is nonsense. As gasoline prices skyrocketed, I noticed that Tropicana orange juice was re-packaged down from 96 ounces to 89 ounces but the price stayed the same. I sent the company an email and they cited increased costs for the plastic containers (plastic is petroleum based) and transportation costs. Now, liberals might not call that a price increase but paying the same money for less product certainly is. Companies will find ways to either avoid Obama's higher taxes or raise revenues enough to offset them; they will NOT simply eat them. Company managers work for the shareholders, not the federal government and when a manager fails to meet his company's financial objectives then he is replaced. Companies will cut costs either by reducing payroll and benefits, or if that's not enough, they will relocate to low cost countries like China or India. It's already happened under our current, lower tax code and Obama wants to raise taxes so what does he think will happen?

Been to WalMart lately? If anyone believes that American workers will prosper under a tax-hungry Obama administration then they are kidding themselves. Obama's tax plan will simply drive more American companies overseas in this global economy of ours and that's BAD for the American worker. And yet most labor unions support his candidacy. Their members will be voting AGAINST their self-interest. Democrats will be shoooting themselves in the back, yet again!

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Right. Labor would be better off voting for pro-free trader neo-cons who've taken away every worker advantage our ancestors worked SO hard to get. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

So, with that logic, why have customers? Why have employees? If the rich men are going to ship jobs overseas (which they're doing because they get TAX BREAKS for it) whether taxed or not, what's the point in trying for fairness? Things are just SPIFFY the way they are . .. what with all the abundance of high-paying jobs that laissez-fail capitalism has yielded?

Yes folks, there are idiots in Northeast Ohio as well.

I'm the one called "Saddening", BTW.

1. Sorry to say I didn't toss anything.
But I've heard all that tripe before. Fortunatley these messages are pretty well worn and America is ready for something new and better.

Pure poppycock! (OK, I just love that word!)

2. People who have an empty clue basket when it comes to taxes and companies make me ill.
Especially when current events that destroy their idiot logic are about to punch them between the eyes and they just keep spewing nonetheless.

You know, because we should just keep LOWERING taxes on corporations and the rich. Look at all of the JOBS that method has given us. Er . . . except it HASN'T. And there are still rich people.

And we just paid them to fire us.

Facepalm for the next hour.

3. Can't toss my laptop...
...but I am shaking my head. Where do these people come from? Is this person claiming to be an expert on the tax code?

I think I'll stick with Paul Krugman for my economics, thank you.

4. 8 year old Obama supporter just returned from Cleveland.
When asked who she would vote for in her school Presidential election she replied, "I don't know". I asked what had destroyed her earlier passion for Obama and his kids. She told me that Obama was going to raise her taxes. She really didn't know what taxes are. I explained how taxes are used and that she had heard one of McCain's biggest lies, and that he is using the lie to try to make Obama look bad. She told me that the relatives she was visiting also told her that they wanted to "keep the war". She didn't like that idea. I explained that Obama has never been for the war and that he wants to end it. She's back on track now and says that she wants Barack.

7. Total idiocy.
TahitiNut said it best, when responding to a troll in our midst -

"You seem to be happy to think you'll feed the birds by giving more oats to the horse. Keep chowing down on that horse shit, bird brain."
