so I made salsa and bought some focaccia and other bagette style bread, baked it, poured some pinot noir and sank into my couch like I died and went to heaven!

Charlie isn't feeling well, and that's another adjustment for me. I can look at them and tell when they're getting sick. I can't see him to assess how he really is. Getting up on my soapbox...I don't understand how trained professionals don't pay attention to potential bedsores. When my stepfather was at home and dying from cancer we lay people learned from the pros about bathing, skin care, and how to strip and remake a bed with the patient in the bed when he got to the point that he couldn't sit in a wheel chair while we stripped the bed to wash the linens. He never had a bedsore and we were amateurs in training. I just don't understand. I'm sorry that your sister is having to go through this along with the disappointment of not being able to come home for her and your family. :hug:
