CHECK-FUCKIN'-MATE
In two of the biggest stories out there right now, Bushco. is essentially checkmated.

Plamegate:

--snip--

"In a statement sent to The BRAD BLOG, Waxman's office explains that a letter just sent to White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten, asks for an explanation as to why the White House "did not follow the investigative steps prescribed by Executive Order 12958," as signed in March 2003. The order requires the White House to "'take appropriate and prompt corrective action' whenever there is a release of classified information," according to the statement...."

and Prosecutorgate:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/3/16/165613/439

"Bush has an interesting choice over the next few days. The WH spin on the firing of the USAttys has been to put out two completely contradictory concepts and hope that no one notices. This is a pretty safe bet with the MSM, but no so much with the lawyers sitting on Leahy's Judiciary committee. Those lawyers are going to see very quickly that Bush will have to fish or cut bait. The President must confess to a role in the removal of the lawyers, or the removals are prima facie illegal."

--snip--

To the extent that the President did not specifically authorize, by delegation or by direct order, the removals, and sticks with that story, then we are left with removals done by people with no authority. Void acts.

OTOH, if he wants to open the door to his involvement, then he has to, at some point, provide information as to how, when, why and with what parameters, he delegated his removal powers.

--snip--

Screwn?

the people in the thick of it are the "braintrust"

who's bush gonna turn to for advice on how to get his ass out of the latest cracks, when gonzo, meirs, and rover are the ones put it there?

maybe we should start an office pool on when Jim Baker rides back into town.
oh, wait... bush already told him to go shit in his hat.

maybe barbara bush will become chief of staff, and give everyone a good sound spanking

we ain't never gonna see that money.

too bad we can't treat this whole cabal as an invading foreign power, use the laws they so conveniently gave us to throw them all in jail forever and take everything they own

16. so now we know why them MIC rogues did 911...
they knew the bushevik gopigs were simpletons, of sorts, and such immoral pricks that mass murder of american citizens was just hohum stuff to them... they knew the bush gang was such a venal bunch of criminals they'd cover up 911 using the full power of the US government....and mostly they knew the pigmedia was responsible for bush getting into office in 1st place, and would muddy the waters of suspicion about the improbable aspects of 911, such as the olsen ph call (which named bin laden as the culprit) and the silly idea of guys who trained on crop duster type training aircraft nevertheless flying ultra modern jetliners into the wtc etc...
some say that the bush gang's incompetence mitigates against their involvement in 911, but maybe it was that VERY FEATURE which set 911 in motion on dec12/00, when bush was given the highest elective office in the land!
the MIC rogues might have overplayed their hand- junyer should watch out, cuz he's becoming a dead weight on them, and exposing the great game players to contempt, possibly more then that!
