Bushie's Justice broke the Neo-Nazi story at the same time as Steven's conviction
Almost to the minutes.

The story of the neo nazis had been in the works for weeks.
There was no verdict, there was no trial, there was no breaking news of an immediate
attack just r the investigation news that was released

These kids were nuts and young. I'm not putting the gravity of the story down.
Just the timing of the release of it.

Oh course, the bush administration, knew when the Stevens verdict was delivered they work with
the courts system. Two minutes later....... the ATF neo nazi story which was not really
breaking.

The result? The republican corruption story, hurtful to the election, gets marginalized.

1. They have done that many many times in the past.

If you recall, every time there was some sort of bad news about the administration, they would raise some sort of "TERRA TERRA" flag.
There were even graphs showing how the timing was always the same...

Here is just one of the many charts that showed this..

3. Well you and I know that but newbies maybe aren't familiar with this
tactic.

Its like they have a couple of cards they are holding back to be played even
though they have a losing hand.

Stevens is the biggest story for this election, because of Palin's connections
and reaffirming Republican corruption to the voters. Now where is
my Alaskan $150,000 clothing allowance?

The more I read about the other story the more I see it for what it is.

10. Chris Matthews asked the DC Justice dept correspondent who said
that while ANY threat should be taken seriously, the details of this particular situation do not seem to make it a story of a well-planned conspiracy involving many people. He said it was 1 18-year-old and 1 20-year-old who met on the internet.
They concocted a plan that sounded like something from Dumb and Dumber. They concluded that these were 2 knuckleheads...but stuff like this must be always be looked into...

2. I agree. And while trying to kill Obama is quite bad, the lead-up of mass murder is also bad.
I wish they would report it as "wanted to murder 102 people and then Obama".

4. They were so far away from that and delusional... I thought when the story broke
it was about the College shooting in Arkansas.

7. I don't think it's a very savvy move, personally.

I know they've buried a lot of damaging stories with terrorism-related announcements in the past, but this particular pairing strikes me as inept. This isn't like burying some dry, bureaucratic report with a headline-grabbing terror warning.

Both of these stories are easily understandable by the public, both can be summed up briefly, and both reflect poorly on the far right wing. It's almost like tying the two together. Stupid PR move, IMHO-- but I do agree it was a PR move.

8. After watching the next hour of the news the Stevens story is carrying the news
Stupid PR move and doesn't this connect to the nutty college republican too?

It seems they should have usea an Islamo Fascist homeless men from Miami type story.
I'm sure they got one of those in their deck of cards.

9. Yeah I noticed when I read about the arrest that the article said the
documents were "released today" which made me wonder how long they had been sitting on them. Either way it's nice to know the SS and the ATF are taking threats to Obama seriously..
