1. Didn't Airhead Palin have some connection to Ted Steven's Campaigns?
Yes or am I imagining I heard this a while ago? Wasn't she Chair of one of his Senatorial Campaigns?

3. She ran his pet 527 group
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/01/palin_was_a_director_of_embatt.html

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin began building clout in her state's political circles in part by serving as a director of an independent political group organized by the now embattled Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens.

Palin's name is listed on 2003 incorporation papers of the "Ted Stevens Excellence in Public Service, Inc.," a 527 group that could raise unlimited funds from corporate donors. The group was designed to serve as a political boot camp for Republican women in the state. She served as one of three directors until June 2005, when her name was replaced on state filings....

Stevens had been helpful to Palin during her run for governor, swooping in with a last moment endorsement. And the two filmed a campaign commercial together to highlight Stevens's endorsement of Palin during the 2006 race.

Shortly after Palin was announced as McCain's vice presidential pick, the ad was removed from her gubernatorial campaign web site. It remains available on YouTube.

The irony is that the Prince of Darkness' impending downfall opens up a juicy Senate seat for Bible Spice to appoint herself to after the Dem landslide next Tuesday. :eyes:

5. Lol! It just gets better doesn't it?
Of course I feel that our team will take that Alaska Senate seat next Tuesday....Jaysus the people of Alaska can't be THAT dumb they'd re-elected Ted Steven's.

Of course they elected Palin....but they also elected Tony Knowles we have to remember. so I have hope we can take that Senate seat.

14. Sen. Ted Stevens Found Guilty in Corruption Case

Sen. Ted Stevens Found Guilty in Corruption Case

By AP Monday, Oct. 27, 2008

(WASHINGTON) — Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens has been convicted of lying about free home renovations and other gifts he received from a wealthy oil contractor.

The Senate's longest-serving Republican, Stevens was found guilty on all seven counts of making false statements on Senate financial documents.

The verdict throws the upcoming election into disarray. Stevens is fighting off a challenge from Democrat Mark Begich and must now either drop out or continue campaigning as a convicted felon.

The trial hinged on the testimony of Stevens' longtime friend, who testified that his employees dramatically remodeled the senator's home.

Stevens faces up to five years in prison on each count but, under federal sentencing guidelines, will likely receive much less prison time, if any.
