Asia stocks dive to 4-year lows; yen slips on G7

(Reuters) – Asian shares extended losses on Monday, with Japan's Nikkei briefly hitting its lowest since 1982, as central bank policy moves including a record rate cut in South Korea were not enough to allay fears of a global recession.

Trading was chaotic amid continued doubts over whether governments can stem a crisis that is menacing financial markets, worldwide economic growth and company earnings.

3. We will do President Obama a disservice to imply he can work miracles
The problems with the economy are deep and will not be fixed overnight. This will require patience. He's going to be working on this for most of his first term, if not a good part of his second.

4. We will do President obama wrong
if we continue to imply negativity about America to every gyration in overseas markets that have their own relative concerns.
