Searching for the Magic Mud Ball...

The McCain campaign has reached the point of no return. They have thrown everything at Barack Obama except the kitchen sink and Joe the Plumber is working on that.

Their latest dive into the mud pit came up with the idea of "robo-calling" naive, racist, or suspicious voters, in the hope of improving their sinking election fortunes. Once again, they bring up the discredited idea that Barack Obama is a terrorist, since he associates with Bill Ayres, the old "washed-up" terrorist from the Sixties. Since it didn't work on mainstream or cable TV, why not call these "real" Americans personally and inform them of how radical Barack Obama truly is?

What more can they do? They have attacked the "liberal" media - even as they refuse to be interviewed by them - the Brian Williams interview notwithstanding. They say that Barack Obama is not eligible to run for the Presidency because he was not born in America. In fact, the reason he is going to Hawaii is to complete the final cover-up of his birth certificate.

They started the campaign by calling him the most "liberal" Senator in the Senate. Now, he is called a "Socialist" or a "Bolshevik". They say he is a "Muslim", not a Christian. People that support him have been referred to as not "real" Americans. There is a conspiracy churning in their minds and hearts, stoked daily by the hate radio crowd led by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Their desperation is on display for the whole world to see.

With only 12 days left until the end of the Bush/Cheney disaster, John McCain is looking for that one magic mud ball that will stick. He will sling that mud ball until the chiseler chips the last number in his tombstone.
