Michele Bachmann the liar
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 07:01 AM by malaise

I didn't say that Barack Obama was anti-American nor do I believe that Barack Obama is anti-American."

The national fundraising committee for GOP congressional candidates has canceled its Twin Cities TV advertising for Rep. Michele Bachmann, who is using the flap over her comments about Barack Obama to raise money on her own.

The National Republican Congressional Committee pulled ads scheduled to begin running Monday through Election Day. At just KSTP television, the canceled ads would have cost $50,000 from Oct. 27 through Nov. 4.

A Republican source confirmed Wednesday that the NRCC is pulling its funding out of the Sixth District race.
In a letter Wednesday to subscribers of a national conservative online newsletter, Bachmann wrote that her office has been deluged with calls "full of hate and anger" since her comments. "Nazi. Psychopath. Deranged. Mentally ill. Disgusting human being ... these are just a few of the names that my staff and volunteers have been called. ..."

"Chris Matthews did what Chris Matthews is paid big bucks to do: Twist my words and set them up for full-fledged distortion when his next guest came on," she wrote. "And, when the liberal blogs got hold of little clips of my appearance, the spin machine really kicked into overdrive. ... They're motivated entirely by their hatred of me and my conservative beliefs."

15. Repubs seem to be confused by recording devices in general
They think that those machines have a mind of their own and make it LOOK like they say outrageous things.

4. That's the best part
Maybe the RNCC men have decided to take the money and run because the writing is on the wall across America. Should be fun to watch who takes the money for themselves this year. After all a former chairman was spending it on himself.

5. Oh for pete's sake...it's not hatred of her and her conservative views...
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 07:11 AM by grannylib
It's hatred of her hatred! It's hatred of her intolerance and ignorance and lies and stupidity. It's hatred of her slavering adoration of the WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER.
It's hilarious how all these Reich-wingnut attack dogs seem to be unclear on the concept of the teevee, and the fact that there will be a verifiable record of what they say.

Guess I'll be making some more phone calls to her offices this morning.
:puke:

On edit: here are her numbers in case anyone else wants to call:
Washington: 202.225.2331
Woodbury: 651.731.5400
Waite Park: 320.253.5931

6. Oh Yes It Is!
At least for me it is.

I can't stand people her age, with her limited education, taking on this holier-than-thou attitude that they have it ALL figured out.

And if my opinion, or yours, doesn't conform to their severely limited scope, they're we're wrong.

Well, i'm a lot smarter than her. I'm WAY more educated than her. And i think more clearly and broadly than her. And she insists she's 100% right, 100% of the time.

I HATE THAT!

7. Wait a minute ... she's a woman, right? Doesn't that, according to the Repukes, automatically
give her a "liberal" pass? Isn't she supposed to be riding the coattails of the anger towards Barack Obama for not choosing Hillary as his running mate?

Where's the outrage???

8. Of Course, Michelle...We Live In The Parallel Universe As Well...
This babe didn't realize Tweety isn't Faux Noise. She was used to getting the kid glove treatment and say outrageous things and the echo chamber applauded. That tirade would have been standard fare on a Hannity or on hate radio, but Tweety didn't play the same game and, if you look at it in that view, yep, it was a trap...a trap known as reality.

The fun of watching that video is to see how Tweety just kept handing her rope and she gladly took it. Unlike a Larry King, where she was always "boxed" with a least three other screamers, this show as all her own and she made the most of it. I'll even bet she left the studio and thought she really "killed" (and had pyscofants around to agree with her)...then woke up the next morning to find out her world was starting to cave in...and even then it didn't dawn on her what she had said.

If this babe is sorry about anything, it's that she went on Tweety's show (and maybe that she had too much coffee)...and now I am sure we'll hear her screaming how she's a victim...she's already running to the comfort food of hate radio and as her situation gets worse, so will her rhetoric.

A week ago, I was concerned this dredge of humanity would skate into a second term...now watching her implosion is like a gift from the gods...

12. Bachmann is a liar, like her whole Party
Blatant liar. Scum of the Earth. She denies her own actions and also lies about Chirs and 'liberal blogs'. I for one saw the entire, live interview, not 'little clips' and Bachmann freely invented the entire concept of investigating Congress for being anti-American. Chirs had nothing to do with that Bachmann invented line of thinking, which she expounded upon at some length.
Amoral and dishonest to the core, Bachmann should resign at once if she has any decency. But of course she is indecent.

16. They lie on the exhale
Automatic response. I do wonder if they are ever going to catch on to the fact that TV shows are recorded for replay? Why don't they understand that their words are easy to review, that simply claiming you were taken out of context will not work when such review is possible? I mean, the internet is fairly new, but shows have been taped since Kinescope days, this should be news to no one. Even an atavistic religionist like Bachmann should know about these things. She must be too busy bearing false witness to have awarness of such modern marvels as the VCR, Tivo, etc.

17. It amazes me how she can continue to deny this
especially when it's on camera, all over YouTube.

Person #1 (to Person #2): "You're an idiot!"
Person #2 (to Person #1): "Why did you call me an idiot?"
Person #1 (to Person #2): "I didn't call you an idiot - you're twisting my words!"

Idiocy, I tell ya!
