HUGH: McCain-Palin supporting automatic weapons ban!

Today, in a shocking reversal of their previously stated position, the McCain-Palin campaign has announced their support of a federal-level ban of all automatic and semi-automatic weapons.

This policy change was developed after several mishaps at the candidates' campaign headquarters, after what is described to the press as "a series of unfortunate gun-cleaning accidents". Apparently, over the past two months, McCain and Palin have shot their campaign in the foot at least 57 times. The victim is in critical condition at this time, and is not expected to survive.

After suffering multiple injuries from stray shots, the Republican Party is fully supportive of the ban.
