A lot of fighting happened in front of the cameras on today's heated
installment of The View, but according to a tip we just received from
a Defamer operative, it was nothing compared to what went on after the
show was over. Our tipster says that Elisabeth Hasselbeck was upset
that Joy Behar has been using The View to tout Behar's upcoming
stand-up performance, and the conservative co-host demanded equal time
in a confrontation that got ugly:


After "The View" went off the air today, Joy and Elisabeth WENT AT IT
backstage!!!!!


Joy jumped in Elisabeth's face about a comment she made about Joy not
being able to plug her appearances because her act is "political in
nature." This was in response to the controversy about the McCain
t-shirt Elisabeth wore on the air on Tuesday.


Joy SCREAMED in Elisabeth's face, "If you do that again I will burn
you down." Elisabeth turned beet red and started to stammer out
something. And then Joy yelled, "Shut the fuck up" and stormed off.


Nobody backstage came to console Elisabeth who was left standing
there. Not even Barbara. Not Sherri either.


If anyone else bore witness to the View battle royale, be sure to send
us your accounts. Somewhere, a gratified Star Jones is surely cooing
"Excellent," while indulging in a gastric bypass-approved, icy-cool
dish of sweet revenge.

I turned on the show for a few minutes today. Joy looking like she was about to explode at Elizabeth from the second the show started. Elizabeth really hadn't even said anything yet and Joy seemed pissed.

She was always fairly conservative, but seemed okay. Then Rosie came on and she became more and more agressive with her viewpoints. Now its got to the point, she's just spewing Hannity's arguements 24/7.

She says nothing orignial. Everything she says comes from fox news.

earlier that morning and Joy replied sarcastically "How is Sean"? Watching the "Hot Topics" portion is like watching the daily McCain/Palin meltdown in 15 minutes, and then you can go on with your day, knowing everything you need to know. Whoopie is a fair moderator, and Sherri has inexplicably had a brain transplant in the past month, all of sudden she's spewing facts and stats like a female Dan Rather. Joy is the female version of Olbermann, taking the twit down daily, and doing it with great comedic timing. Barbara is a journalist who will never give up which side she's on (I really prefer it when she's not on). Elisabatwit just keeps digging her hole deeper and deeper. If Obama/Biden wins, her head will explode on live TV. I just don't see her on the show after that.
