Well looky what I just purchased:

This year I've had it. In years past; I've overlooked it. Not this year.

New York State Election Law clearly states that no "distributing," "circulating," "posting," or "exhibiting" campaign materials within 200 feet of polling places is not permitted and in felony violation of Electioneering Laws.

Every year a GOP lawn sign ends up WELL within the 200 foot parameter set up by law. This year on my way into Committee headquarters to shuttle folks to the polls, I will measure this distance and file a formal complaint after documenting with photographic evidence that a felony has been committed.

Hey FR, want to fuck around this year? Disenfranchise voters by all means necessary, I can split hairs just as well.

Sh*t, it will take 10 minutes out of my morning. Let's go!

2. I'm pretty sure it's 100 feet. . .
At least that's what I was just told at election worker school here on L.I.. . .

3. Not to be an ass, but ...
... what constitutes the "polling place(s)?"

Is it the base of the building itself, or the perimeter of the property on which the actual building sits?

4. My polling place is in an elderly live-in facility.
The building has an double door entry into a foyer & then another set of doors into the grand hall where the polling takes place. The 100 yards starts at the interior set of doors.
