I get progressive talk radio now!! Yay!!!

Our local "we play anything" music station, WDEK, just switched to a progressive talk format!! Here's the lineup:

5:00 am – 8:00 am – The Bill Press Show
8:00 am – 11:00 am – The Stephanie Miller Show
11:00 am – 2:00 pm – The Ed Schultz Show
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm – The Thom Hartmann Show
5:00 pm – 8:00 pm – The Rachel Maddow Show
8:00 pm – 9:00 pm – The Ron Reagan Show
9:00 pm – 5:00 am – Dance Factory

Yep! I'm listening to Thom Hartmann in my office and it's not the internets! I feel so connected! I never listen to radio late at night, so that "Dance Factory" thing, well, that's okay. Getting dressed to the sound of Bill Press, well, :woohoo:

3. Congratulations! I don't want to burst your bubble but

here's my two cents on the aforementioned hosts:

Bill Press - DLC (has given full support to Obama), not rigorous about the issues, pretty much covers what was big on the prime time shows the night before, he's not a deep independent thinker more of an old beltway insider

Stephanie Miller - I don't have her show

Ed Schultz - a former non-dem who is a moderate at best. I think he is very appealing to moderate and mid-western dems. He is sort of like a dem Rush. He is also not very knowledgeable or intellectually vigorous on topics.

Thom Hartmann - Brilliant. Passionate. Well-informed.

Rachel Maddow - YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy!

Ron Reagan - His show is new.

Dance Factory - Never heard it but I love to boogie!

4. When the only talk radio around here has been Rush and Neil Boortz,

...excuse me, :puke: this is a VAST improvement. I know how some feel about Big Ed, but I liked him when I could hear him in Iowa. Again, compared to Rush, he's wonderful!
