What the HELL happened to orrin hatch?
I've always considered him to be a bit of an idiot politically, but at least he was usually acting like a gentleman when I've seen him.

Just now on MSNBC, he was absolutely SHRILL in his interview with andrea mitchell. I guess that shrill is just the new republican language.

And mitchell almost made me barf when she complimented him on being a good friend to John McSame. YUCK!

PEACE!

1. Pukes are losing. Badly.
He is looking at a Senate next year where the Dems have a filibuster proof majority, and a Popular Dem President.

I'll bet he's pissed that the Salt Lake Tribune endorsed Obama.
Probably been demanding that Elohim smites somebody over that.

8. Especially that!
If Obama carries Utah, he won't need it. He'll already have the other 49 + DC, which is a nice thought.

2. He's always been a shrill.
Especially during the Clinton presidency. He was more laid back when Bush was in office but now he's back to his old tricks.

4. This man is a histrionic tosser of temper tantrums...
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 12:58 PM by Flubadubya
He can get his back up higher than a cat in a den full of pit bulls. He is highly strung, easily agitated, and can go off on someone (preferably a liberal) in a heartbeat. He is so ill-suited to be a politician... at least not a politician with half a dose of decency or diplomacy in him. He is a typical rethug who is all glad-hands and happy-faced as long as you're going along with his agenda and he is getting his way, but you sure never want to cross him, he'll take your head off and never blink!

This is one NASTY RETHUG! :puke: :grr: :argh:

6. I honestly never saw that side of him.
He was usually acting like a gentleman when I saw him.

Then again, we don't see him much up here in Maine.

9. You should have seen him during Clinton's days... a nasty piece of work, that one!
There was one particular instance where he nearly came to fisticuffs with a democratic colleague right there on the Senate floor. I really can't remember the specifics but I will never forget the look on that man's face or the sound of his voice... he TRULY lost it and was quite uncouth!

making fun of those of us who have to wear Depends. How insensitive can you be? Do you have any idea of how enormously cruel that is? How would you like to have to walk around in crapped pants? Let me tell you, it's not fun and it's not easy. Is nothing sacred here anymore?

Edited for spilling.

11. desperation
There is desperation everywhere among Republicans now. The more desperate they get, the more outspoken and aggressive they are, and the more outspoken and aggressive they are the more the public is rejecting them.

18. I always felt he was very condescending when the Repugs ruled Congress.
So now he's replaced shrill for condescending.......that's what happens when all your marbles are taken away from you.

30. OK, I used the wrong idiom.......
pick up your marbles and go home
to suddenly leave an activity you have been involved in with other people, because you do not like what is happening.

I was just playing off that idiom to illustrate why he is piqued. He doesn't like what is going on anymore, they are no longer in control. Instead of him picking up his marbles and going home, which he can't, his marbles(power/control) have been taken away from him. Obviously, I did not do it well, or it wouldn't have been confusing.

26. rad's rule of blatherheads
just have 1 rule so far, but here it is:

The decible level of a blatherhead will increase two-fold by how wrong they are and how shakey the ground beneath their feet.

in other words - the "wronger" they are - the "louder" they get
