WHY are we subjected to Pat Buchanan's nonsense on MSNBC???
If he's there to play Devil's Advocate, he's doing a crappy job. He doesn't even seem to be with it half the time. Come hell or high water, he defends the repugs and it bugs the hell out of me.

Thanks for letting me do a mild rant

:)

1. Here's what I like about Pat Buchannon ESPECIALLY on Rachel's show
He's so far out of whack that he only makes us and Rachel look that much better!

5. Agreed
When she refers to him as "Uncle Pat," it's as if she's humoring the crazy old uncle who comes over for Sunday dinner and spends the whole time blathering about how they never really landed a man on the moon, that fluoride in drinking water is a Communist conspiracy, and how the coloreds need to be kept down.

She does a nice job of putting him in his place and letting him do his act, which shows him up for the lunatic he is.

Soon, he'll be an afterthought.

2. Because you have CHOSEN to watch TV, and CHOSEN to have it tuned to MSNBC
Turn the fucking thing off if it offends you.

:dunce:

6. I love the mute button on my remote. While still watching a tv show it is the ultimate power.
Sometimes I wish I had a mute button to use on actual flesh and blood people.

17. Think: Alan Colmes
Buchanan serves essentially the same role on MSNBC shows like Maddow and Hardball.

The only difference seems to be that Colmes knows that his job is to set up the liberal perspective so that Hannity and his conservative guests can knock it down.

Buchanan, on the other hand, seems to think his opinion is something more that a conservative point of view for Tweety and Rachel to play off of. He thinks they take him serioulsly.
