(Updated) MSNBC's 'The Rachel Maddow Show' now available as audio/video podcasts and streaming
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 06:57 AM by krkaufman
UPDATE: Unfortunately, MSNBC is only making the first segment available. Per the podcast description:

This video podcast brings you the first segment (around 10 minutes) of each night's show.

Note that this differs from the TV advertising: Rachel didn't say her podcast would be just the first 10 minutes, and the Morning Joe bumpers are claiming "get the whole show."

Send your feedback on this approach to Rachel, at rachel@msnbc.com

See podcasts.msnbc.com for more details.

3. It's only the first segment
I want the whole show. I've got Direct TV so I'm fortunate enought to get MSNBC but I know some people, primarly Comcast customers, don't get it so I'd like to see them getting the whole show via podcast.

5. Ugh. I hadn't actually downloaded and watched one, yet.
I simply assumed it would be the complete show, like with Countdown.

(And I need the podcasts, as well, for the reason you stated... my Mom lives in a town were the local cable provider, Comcast, doesn't provide MSNBC in their lineup.)

6. If they did it all
I could get rid of the Dish and save $79 a month. I've been thinking about doing that in April when my contract is up.

9. Comcast has MSNBC
I watch it on Comcast daily.
The actual truth is that millions of Americans don't have any cable or sat TV, due to expense. That is also true of the Comcast people, they have basic and don't get it-or in many cases they do get it but don't know it, as MSNBC is not next to CNN and Fox. Direct TV, now you get LINK, if I am not mistaken, which is good stuff, and is not on other carriers. LINKTV I would love to have.

10. Depends on where you live
In many areas, mostly non-urban areas, they have either removed it or put it in their premium package. Most people have basic cable and get CNN and Fox but not MSNBC. If the playing field was level Rachel and Keith would be getting even better ratings.

Comcast does not provide MSNBC on their non-digital cable packages in my Mom's town. (Not even sure they provide it on the digital package.)

7. Note that these can also help you download or stream the show to your computer.
You don't need to have a portable device, unless you want to watch/listen while on-the-go. (Also, the portable device doesn't have to be a *pod device, from Apple.)

8. well I was being a bit hyperbolic :)
I have a hour train ride to and from work every day so I have time.
My phone can play video, but the screen is small. When I re-up in December I'll probably get a i-can't-believe-it's-not-an-iphone which are actually superior than the iphones LOL
