I just won't vote for a white man for president
I've heard a few of my fellow Americans say lately that they just can't bring themselves to vote for a black man, and offering no other reasons, but I am just the opposite. I watched all three debates between Barack Obama and john mccain, and the black man clearly had the edge on all the issues, he kept his head and was cool, calm and collected throughout, while the white man was cranky, angry, and full of entitlement and unfounded superiority, I simply won't be able to vote for that mean old white man this time around.

When I look back at it, I guess all the candidates I've voted for were indeed white men, who all left me with varying degrees of disappointment, but I never connected it with their skin color, mccain however is a different case, his skin is oh so unnatural looking, thick with makeup, his expressions constantly changing from happy to angry. And he does not look healthy at all, snow white hair, cancerous growths on his face, lurching, lumbering about, rolling his eyes in baronial disdain, the choice is clear, this is no white man to have in the oval office at this juncture.

So call me a racist if you will, I've heard it all having grown up white in America, but no matter what, I simply can't bring myself to vote for a white man for president.

:sarcasm: (added for clarity)

Dennis Kucinich doesn't count because he's clearly a benevolent alien sent to help us stupid humans. Too bad we never listen to him.

3. Well Said!
I unfortunately had a political conversation with a cousin in NC who essentially told me that she would not vote for Obama because of race. I have talked with her for a couple of years about family history and general things that we all discuss, the price of gas, the price of groceries, etc and I know that she is logically a Democrat living in a Republican county (I guess it would be "real America"), but she is voting against her economic interests (and has repeatedly) because she chooses not to see beyond the Republican B.S.

Drives me crazy and I do what I can to talk about issues, but I am not making much headway.

4. I really really really wanted to vote for Jesse in 1988
But my first Presidential vote had to go to Dukakis. It's a wonder I didn't quit the party almost as soon as I joined lol.

10. Yeah, I'm with you. I can't vote for no honky either. Even if I am one.
But I have no reason to believe that his Presidency won't have its share of disappointments just like the rest of them. It is politics, after all.

Even if the dark-skinned guy is simply COMPETENT at governing for the people, that will be a dramatic improvement from the current cracker thief.

11. I refuse to let race play ANY part of ANY decisions in life
Anyone that uses race to make any decisions has some unresolved internal racism.
