Good grief. Now McCain is releasing statements made by Toad.
Found on the McPain/Failin web site:

"CENTENNIAL, CO -- The McCain-Palin campaign today released the following statements to mark the first day of the rifle season for deer in the Plains, which begins on Tuesday, October 21st, and ends on Wednesday, October 29th.

Todd Toad Palin: "There are a lot of similarities between Alaska and Colorado: pioneering spirits, mountains, hunting, fishing and a general love for the great outdoors. Sarah and I agree that one of the most precious things in family life is to pass on the passion for the great outdoors from one generation to the next. Americans' ability to enjoy the great outdoors would be jeopardized if America elects the candidate with a flunking grade from the NRA."

1. I've always enjoyed the great outdoors.
And I've never shot an animal in my life. Well, actually I did shoot a bird at somebody one time...but that doesn't count, does it?

2. I guess he thinks the outdoors is great
In three sentences he used the phrase "the great outdoors" three times.

I think the outdoors is pretty cool and I enjoy mountains, hunting and fishing. But I hate the NRA and I despise the Republican practice of allowing mining, timber and grazing interests to take over and ruin some of our prime federal lands that used to be available for hunting, fishing and camping.

3. I enjoy 'the great outdoors' also
but I guess the first dude and I have two different opinions on what should be done with it. We also have different ideas on what family values are.

4. Right on!
I never felt the need to haul a gun around the great outdoors.

I have to confess that I would have no problem hunting if it were easier than going to the grocery store.

6. Right, Todd, because we all know one can't possibly enjoy the great
outdoors without killing wildlife and drilling for fossil fuels all day long.......

7. Oh, go fish in Lake Wasilla, Todd.
Wait. That's right. You can't. The lake is dead.
