In a last ditch effort to reverse the direction of the polls and to bolster McCain’s floundering campaign, the RNC has hit upon the guilt-trip as the next strategy to retain power.

“That national debt is not going to raise itself, you know,” said Neil Cavuto of Fox News. “You just wait until we’re gone and you’ll find out just how much work we did for the country… it’s not as easy as it looks destroy the economy, the constitution and the environment all while dividing the country - but the lefties never appreciated the hard work we did.”

Sarah Palin at a rally in Bill, Wyoming, made an obvious effort to change the tone from anger to piqued irritation. “Are they gonna miss us callin’ them terrorists and unpatriotic? You betcha!” she yelled. “Well I say, when their long nightmare of peace and prosperity starts to bore them, maybe we won’t even come back and help stir things up! It would serve them right!”

Michelle Malkin from the group People Against People, said she was willing to add the guilt-trip to her repertoire, but said she will not give up the insane attack. “I love the idea of the guilt trip, and I’ll be glad to point out that without torture the US just won’t have the same standing in the world. But, I’m not going to stop calling them terrorists while I do it. It just isn’t in me.” She scowled.
