BILLIONAIRE BAILOUTS -- A back door way of ripping off the Social Security trust fund!!
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 05:43 PM by dailykoff
Every time the federal government "injects" a few hundred billion dollars into the "system" to distribute to its neocon cronies, it adds the corresponding amount to the national debt. That's where the money comes from.

And every time it does that, it devalues the worth of existing dollars in the money supply, and every time it does THAT, the SS trust fund--which is staggeringly genormous and growing thanks to Ronnie's payroll tax hikes--is worth less.

So if they shrink today's dollars by half in ten years, guess what? The trust fund is worth half of what it's worth today. So not only are they firehosing cash all over themselves, they're ruining O*U*R Social Security retirement in the process.

And it just doesn't get any better than that for the Texas true believers. :smoke:

2. Funny how their mistakes always seem to make them richer.
I guess they're all just loveable lucky lunks, like "W." :grr:

5. Oh it's there all right, although Rush, Bill and Lou would love for you to believe otherwise.
Treasury bills are as real as money gets.

6. Precisely. That is the intent of the Bush gang in all of this.
Weaken Social Security just as baby-boomers are about to retire. That has been the goal of the Bush administration since day one.

7. Their intentions toward SS are indeed less than honorable.
In fact I think wrecking SS is the only truly ideological position they have, that and wrecking the planet.

NO one in the M$M is mentioning how the dollar devalues every time another Bailout occurs.

They trickled out over 750 Billion between August 2007 and Sept 2008 - then had an "announced" Bailout of 770 Billion. And there is more given away each and every day, much of it rather unstated and found only if you read the back pages of the newspapers.

The Foreign market analysts are not bought out. That is why the entire Global Markets are thrusting down sharply - they know that our US Government "Bailout" actions are unsustainable.
