How dumb is Sarah Palin -Claims The Vice President Is ‘In Charge Of The U.S. Senate’
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/10/21/palin-vp-senate/
<snip>
Yesterday, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) sat for an interview with KUSA, an NBC affiliate in Colorado. In response to a question sent to the network by a third grader at a local elementary school about what the Vice President does, Palin erroneously argued that the Vice President is “in charge of the United States Senate“:

Q: Brandon Garcia wants to know, “What does the Vice President do?”

PALIN: That’s something that Piper would ask me! … hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.

9. Gov. Palin needs to be Impeached, now!!!

At the very least, Alaskans need to mount a Recall Petition & toss her out. She is corrupt & inept. She is unfit to be Gov., much less VP or possibly Pres. of the USA..

She obviously has not read the US Constitution.

2. She does not know basic Civics.
She filled out a questionnaire at a Governors' conference and wrote that if the word "God" was good enough for the Founding Fathers to put in the Pledge of Allegiance, it was good enough for her. The woman has a 10 cent brain.

4. Does anyone have any insight as to what they have planned regarding THAT idea?
I'm assuming they think they would be able to control the senate - absent a majority or even 40 seats.

How would that work in their little pea-brains?

5. She hinted that she felt that way in her debate..
There was a lot of fun made of her over that at the time. Apparently she hasn't learned a thing since then..Joe Biden told her in no uncertain terms the ONLY thing the VP does in the Senate is cast a tie breaking vote...He was quite emphatic about it ands yet she persists...I think there may really be something wrong with her mentally..

14. What a sociopath.
"That’s something that Piper would ask me!"

Is that the only function of that kid? To protect her from criticism? As a way to insult people's intelligence or maturity?

There is something seriously wrong with this woman--she's a sociopath.

16. Yeah, she is a Sociopath, an ignorant, arrogant one.
Alaskans should be highly mortified at who they chose as Gov.

McLame said that she is qualified to be Pres. He has proven to America that he is an arrogant Asshole, a freakin' liar & a dishonorable person, not fit to be Pres. either.

33. I'm beginning to get the idea that he had little choice in that selection.
The Theocrat wing of the Republican Party had something like her in mind all along, and the PNAC wing just went along. Take note of how a few of the latter had recently jumped ship and endorsed Obama. Also note that Ms. Palin had recently "differed" from McCain.

that that would require a Constitutional Amendment, and that that would take a decade or so, realistically. She better get to work on that!

34. She's just basing her opinion on actual observation of Congressional voting since Sept 2001.
Any American who doesn't think Dick Cheney has been in charge of the Senate for the last eight years hasn't been paying attention. Matter of fact, judging by his success rate, he's been in charge of pretty much everything that's happened in the U.S. Congress.

I'm impressed. She finally got something right.
