Can Anyone Help With Info and Suggestions on Running a Online Background Check?

Here's the situation:

I'm trying to help the couple who are kind enough to let me live in my boat on their property. He used
to have a carpet store and I subbed for him for years. I wish they had asked me to help a few days ago before they gave their credit card nunber to some online outfit called Intelligent Investigations who list no way to contact them other than email contact form (no phone or address or even where they're located) but they didn't so I'm coming into this situation a bit late. They were sent a preliminary list of 8 possible hits and they picked the most likely, sent it back and then have heard nothing else for 4 days.

Evidently, her niece has gotten involved with this guy who is obviously a low life SOB. Things are turning up missing and he's done much to arouse their suspicion. She says her neice looks like she's aged 10 years over the last few months since this guy moved in. I'm thinking meth.

So all they have is a name, info that his family is from around Jasper, AL and that he's an ex-con having gotten out of prison in Florida a year ago. They also heard that there was a warrant out on him for theft or something. they called down to the Jasper,Al Sheriff's office yesterday but came up empty handed.

so if anyone has any experience in doing these sorts of things or can suggest an outfit that they know to be straight up or anyway to do these things on our own, could you clue us in?

1. Go to your county's court web site

they usually allow you to search records. If he didn't live in your country go to court where he resided.
