1. This belongs in the Emergency Preparedness Forum.
...oh wait, we don't have an Emergency Preparedness Forum...

11. Or the Rapture Ready forum...
Or the Rapture Ready forum...

Seeing as how there's little relevant difference in the ultimate agenda between the secular end-timers and religious end-timers.

12. Maybe, but there is a lot of difference between the sheep and the informed.
The point was that a forum to address preparing for emergencies, whether they be local weather events or global economic events would be productive here. We tried. We followed the procedures and it was decided that such a forum was not to exist here. That's certainly a decision that's up to the admins, but some of us still think that such a forum would be of benefit to a lot of people here...

13. from what I've inferred in the past few years...
Sheep-- from what I've inferred in the past few years, that term is a popular sobriquet to describe people who have interests and priorities different from from the one using the term. That aside...

I could see a valid use for an Emergency Preparedness Forum to elucidate ourselves in cases of hurricanes, fires, floods, etc. But the moment it becomes a forum for the uber-survivalists, the purveyor of post-apocolyptic hack science fiction, the prognosticator of civil war fantasies, or the trendy dystopian fan-boy is the moment it becomes a cartoon-- just like Rapture Ready already is.

14. We disagree. Information is never a bad thing.
Even the uber-survivalist boards have value. A discerning reader can take what they deem of value and leave gthe rest.

"Sheep", in this case, constitutes the willfully uninformed.

5. Preparedness and genealogy.

For some pretty messed up reasons, but there's no group more accomplished in genealogical studies.
