Election Fraud Incident in Austin Texas -- they didn't apprehend him...
Republicans Purposefully Lying to Voters About Straight Ticket Voting

by: Phillip Martin

Why is anyone supposed to trust Republicans when it comes to issues like voter fraud?

From KVUE News here in Austin:

Prosser went to the polling place at Randall's near Ben White and Manchaca in South Austin. She says a nicely dressed man in his 30's, clipboard in hand, was stopping people on the way in asking if they support Barack Obama. He then gave erroneous voting instructions.

Prosser says the man was telling people to select both a straight party ballot, and vote for Obama.

"The instructions he's giving them will cancel their vote for their candidate and he's deliberately giving misinformation," Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvior said.

After an election judge confronted him the man left in an older model red Chevy Impala that witnesses say was covered in republican stickers.

Be vigilant and report anyone spreading misinformation at polling places!

2. Once again with the overvotes.
In 2000, the voting process was so screwed up, many voters punched the chad for Al Gore as well as wrote his name in to ensure that their vote would be counted. Little did they know that they were ensuring their vote WOULDN'T be counted. There is no conceivable reason why overvotes in cases like that shouldn't be counted. Very few things illustrate the will and intent of the voter greater than selecting the same candidate two different ways. If they get away with this crap, I don't know what I'll do.

3. Bring a one use camera.
Something you can afford to lose. The good thing about them is you can take pictures of the culprits and give the camera to the authorities. This helps in the chain of custody argument since digital pictures can be altered but they have control over the film.

7. Another idea is to time stamp the images
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 09:46 AM by formercia
The first frame or so should be of something that shows an identifiable time stamp, such as a local news program and try to do the same with the last frames. This will show the time when the images were taken.

Be sure to check your local laws. Some states have laws against using cameras, cell phones or recording devices in polling places. You don't want to get in trouble trying to do the right thing.

4. they better find this guy
I know many of you probably think there must be 100s of old red chevy impalas covered in republican bumperstickers in TX. but the fact of the matter is that they should be able to find this guy in a minute. that's a very distinctive description. I think the real question will be which police or sheriff knows exactly who this is, and is not doing anything about it.

6. I think finding him is very important as well.
This a-hole is bound to show up again, and I hope it is in Austin where he is more likely to be identified by voters and arrested.

11. Me, I'm wondering if he's even from Austin.
One sure way to tell: ask him to pronounce "Manchaca".

9. One of the few pluses to NOT having early voting
We have all our polling places covered with Democratic Committee people (the Republicans do too). We keep each other honest.

That guy would never get away with that on election day at my poll.
