LOL! New challenge for Michelle Bachman's campaign!
My apologies if this has been posted. I didn't see it on DU and it's worth passing along!

http://www.startribune.com/politics/31412049.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUUJ

"Aubrey Immelman, 52, is a psychology professor at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn., who ran against Bachmann in the Republican primary. He finished second, with just 14 percent of the vote, but he got his campaign off the ground again Saturday by announcing he will run as a write-in candidate on Nov. 4 in the hope of knocking Bachmann out.

(snip)

"I gave up everything to come here, which is why I feel so strongly about the direction my country has been taking," he said Monday. "I'm a proud, patriotic American. And I cannot tolerate this festering brand of neo-McCarthyism Michele Bachmann is pushing."

Michelle Bachman is NOT having a good week! Too bad.

1. Split the R vote
will assure that both Rs lose. Great plan, numbnuts. (I fully support it!)

3. Me too!
Maybe we should send money to the other Republican challenger!

I love it when the good guys win--and when the really bad guys lose.

Makes your toes all nice and toasty! :)

Cool.

12. I think he wants his party back,.
Bachman represents everything wrong with the neo-con movement within the party.

8. I'm just used to seeing the R's
get behind each other, even when they are uber-slimey.

9. I think this new breed of rabid neocon...
...is making everyone nervous--even Republicans.

Obama has helped the Republicans see just how whacked 1/3 of their party is--and unless
they start beating down the psycho "base"--the entire party is going to implode.

Being a Fascist, neocon, warmongering hater was cool 8 years ago. Now--not so much.

14. Not "numbnuts." I think that is precisely what he intends to do. He
doesn't expect to win, but just to keep her from winning.

7. Oh wow. This might actually work. If he even takes away
that 14% of votes again, it could definitely work. Thank you, Aubrey Immelman!

10. I'm betting he'll take more than the 14% after what Bachmann said the other day.

16. How she won in the first place was a pathetic loss for the DFL
- she just HAS to lose this time.

18. Seems like he may just be a hit with the moderates in the party:
http://themoderatevoice.com/politics/republicans/moderate-republicans/23645/bachmann-gop-challenger-look-forward-to-referendum/

Aubrey Immelman, the Republican challenger against US Representative Michelle Bachmann says his write-in campaign is about a referendum on the state of the GOP:

He says one thing he will NOT do is ask Democrats to vote for him. He says he wants his candidacy to be a Republican referendum on Representative Bachmann and the direction the party has taken this country.

I’ve donated to his campaign. He may not win, but this is about one Republican speaking out against people like Michelle Bachmann who give the GOP a bad name.
