Burning out? Don't stop NOW! It's WORKING!
Kryzan is running against incumbant Chris Lee in an upstate conservative stronghold for many years. However, in 2006 Tom Reynolds was narrowly re-elected running against incumbant Jack Davis by a mere 2%. This is big news to me, that my district, for the first time in my voting life, may be represented by a Democrat.

Even more so, Eric Massa in NY25 is running a campaign against Randy Khul, which has been polling favorably for Massa. It looks like upstate New York is turning blue in a very short period of time.

Not only was there news about Clinton endorsing Kryzan, we also set a new record for Monroe County registered voters this year with 442,771 with Democrats outnumbering Republicans by close to 30,000 voters. The Monroe County Democratic Committee and Board of Elections are expecting an 80% turnout in Monroe County this year, an absolutely astronomical number in these parts.

Here it is: THIS IS OUR YEAR! Nothing is for certain just yet, but keep volunteering. Keep calling, keep canvasing, keep mailing and e-mailing, keep donating because IT'S WORKING! This isn't working just because of one person, it's working because MILLIONS of us are allowing this to work TOGETHER!

TWO WEEKS TO GO! It's been a loooong two years, let's show our country what we've all been working so hard at!

If we can make it happen here in upstate, New York; it's going to take the entire country with it!

Here's to YOU: :applause:

Clinton endorses Kryzan (NY26)

Today Senator Hillary Clinton announced her endorsement of Alice Kryzan for the 26th Congressional District.

"Alice Kryzan has a proven track record of working on the issues that I have long championed - cultivating our communities, providing quality education and healthcare for all, strengthening our middle class and protecting families," said Senator Clinton. "President Obama and Democrats in Congress will need strong leaders from across the country as we work together to bring about the positive change American families need, especially right here in our home state of New York."

This is the district of outgoing Congressman Tom Reynolds.

A trip in the way-back machine: In September 2006, news broke that Florida Rep. Mark Foley (R) had sent inappropriate, sexually suggestive electronic messages to House pages. At Reynolds's urging, Foley quickly resigned, but the New Yorker ended up being further ensconsed in the scandal. Reynolds said he had heard of some of Foley's questionable messages earlier in the year and warned Hastert about it. And it emerged that Kirk Fordham -- Reynolds' chief of staff at the time who had previously been Foley's top aide -- played a key role in the controversy. Fordham claimed that he had warned Hastert's chief of staff, Scott Palmer, years earlier about Foley's behavior, an assertion Palmer strongly denied.
